Cape Charles Main Street needs volunteer support throughout the year
At various times we will send out requests through social media. Here is a sampling of how you may help:
FALL
- LOVEFest -Labor Day weekend decorating; merchandise sales; -youth and adults
- Halloween Decorating Contest-judges – youth and adults
WINTER
- November RevUp- logistics help (more info later)
- Decorators: Garlands for poles; Santa House – decorators and handy helpers
- Festive Friday: elves -youth to help Santa; merchandise/ornament sales help; survey takers
SPRING
- Office clean up – occasion help for our staff
- Sidewalk sale -merchandise table
- Easter Egg Hunt-load and hide eggs, judge the contest
- LOVERun -give out water, support the runners; merchandise table
SUMMER
- Cape Charles Day -Merchandise table
- Third Thursdays – logistics help to transport tents and totes, servers, sales help
- 4th of July Merchandise table help
HANDY AND LOGISTICS SUPPORT
- Hammering and assemblers -put together shelving and benches, hang murals and banners
- Moving- trucks helpful to move items to and from storage

Give Your Time
Volunteers are the true heart of Cape Charles Main Street! We are blessed to have more than 100 volunteers who log thousands of hours to help the organization every year. From streetscaping to event staffing, we always have opportunities for supporters who are willing to give some of their time for the betterment of our town.
